Many children enjoy learning about planets. They find space and rockets to be fascinating. The night sky during Summer months provide excellent opportunities to observe stars,
constellations, bright planets, and sometimes special events like meteor showers. I am going to share some ideas on learning about planets with children.
Providing puzzles, models, paints, books, songs, etc. provides children with a variety of choices as they explore and learn about planets. A breakdown of specific lessons and activities on planets can be found in Weeks 35-37 of the curriculum pages.
