In this part of the program, letters come together to make a new sound. Words with the same phonogram are often referred to as word families. In the boxes I made containing these multiple phonograms, the child first reads the cards with the color coded phonogram combinations and matches them to the pictures. In the same box is a set of the same words, only the phonogram doesn’t stand out as separate, the entire word is black. Below are some samples of multiple phonogram boxes and lists.
